It's been a while...  covid consumed.  It's over a year since I've blogged here, we all now understand Covid life as the new norm and it's been a stressful journey at times.  Masks, distance & hand washing are our new rituals as well as not celebrating like we once did.  Cards have been created - just not as many.  I understand cards are more important than ever. 

This past year I forced myself NOT to focus on covid instead focusing on art, painting,  our tiny farm,  our new dog,  my husband adjusting..  & exploring! 
There is so much to celebrate - the fact that we can breath is one.
It's time to celebrate - anyway we can safely for now - New cards will be uploaded daily stating tomorrow.   $20. for a sweet little 5 x 7 original is a terrific deal.
My prices are the same, no covid sure charge or covid inflation. 
Card sales have steadily increased, thank you, from my heart & soul.

My cards have been requested by several shops this past year in particular  so I will be printing some & will let you know where you can find them in the future.
I believe cards kept some people feeling 'in touch' & it's more important than ever to let those we love know we are thinking of them. 
We rise by living others...   how do you do that,  you might be thinking...   

Intentionally try to 'brighten' someone's day.
Be kind, call to say 'Hi', bake someone a dish,  send a card.
It's easier than you think.

 I had to go to the dentist... I am not fond of the dentist. 
I am not fond of 'going' to a dentist (ever) the actual person, I usually like. 
I have a new dentist & liked him immediately - I don't know about you but I must feel at peace with the person I trust to explore the 'caverns in my mouth'- lol - as my dentist put it.

I would never want to be a dentist.   Have you ever thanked your dentist?  Why not?
Yes, they get paid - but why not take a moment to thank someone for the JOB they do - lucky for us - they enjoy doing it.  Money or no money.  I painted this card BEFORE my appointment - because I was somewhat nervous - but then I thought, we'll maybe he won't "get the pun".  As soon as he walked in the office I blurted, "You know that movie.."  "You want the TRUTH!?... & before I could finish  the dentist  replied "You want the truth! You cant handle the truth!"  hahaha.. perfect. He knew & then I said "I made you a card."
Yes, I am very thankful for a good dentist.    Thank your dentist.

A gaggle of Turkeys crossed the road to my property... no joke.
I was thrilled and could hear them a couple of days later as they wandered the woods close to the house.  A friend expressed "they are UGLY birds".  Is there such a thing as an 'ugly bird'- I  guess so.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - but yes, turkeys are not the prettiest of the feathered kind.  Still, you know you want it.  Turkey.

This card is sure to give a chuckle- or a 'cluckle' to the host cooking your bird this year - give mom a card she's sure to keep -  because it's and original & it's an ugly turkey card - who can say they have one?  Not many.   Start a new tradition this ThanksGiving.

Either way- it's turkey time soon- time to strut your STUFFing!

Weeeeeeee! Forever Grateful is feeling  Forever grateful!
Today is the first day of summer - Weeee!  Have some fun.
Summer soltice begins - how will you celebrate this longest day of the year?
We are MOVING... The adventure continues - down sizing yet living large.
Into the forest we go to lose our mind and find our soul...  
to create more art surround by Bear, Moose & Deer - OH my!

Next week- Forever grateful greeting is taking some time to move to our new location, E mail will be changed and more... If you are interested in acquiring a card-  orders must be in this weekend- or you will have to wait until mid July when we will have unpacked & ready to rock again buds! 

Excited for the new surrounding and inspiration... the adventure continues.

Born & raised in Toronto  - Ontario -   Weeeeeeed' Won!!
This hometown girl is elated the Toronto Raptors have won the NBA Championship 
in 2019!  Weee.. & I can only imagine they celebrated  (some if not all) by smoking some of the finest Cannabis Toronto Canada has to offer  & you can believe it's also champion quality buds! I know I smoked a large 'robust joint' to mark the celebration.  

There is ONLY ONE Raptors BUD card! I won't create another - so if you want this little bud - better snap him up quickly! $25.00 for this tiny original!

 Flowers for Frieda was an honour to paint - a custom card order from someone who's friend just lost her beloved Frieda.  I can't begin to tell you the emotions  that arise when it comes to dogs who have died - I've lost a few good friends'.
For some the loss of a pet can feel as real as the loss of a child, several companies now recognize and give employees time off for the death of a pet.   To acknowledge this passing  with a custom card of the actual dog is a lovely idea, I've done it myself a few times.
Much love was painted in this card for Frieda & her mom - as is with every card.
Remember to pat your pooch & give them lots of snuggles, they are not with us nearly long enough.

'Thank you for the wonderful start to Forever grateful!  Kind words & 'likes on the Forever Grateful Instagram account & several emails having me feeling grateful I did finally decide to start this site - not that I needed any excuse to create cards - it's my prefered persistant passion.

What has me feeling Forever Grateful today is one bud in particular..  I provided a little sneak peek to a few select 'real life buds' & one replied he noted a few errors... (hee hee hee) I giggled & thought 'No kidding - as I'm no stranger to my own life long struggle with spelling & grammar errors but I have never let it stop me, thank goodness or I would have stopped long ago.  
Instead my friend asked if he could 'Help...'   & HELP he did. 

Truly, I am forever grateful to my friend Ezra who moved me to tears after I logged on and realized the degree to which he corrected & improved this website... I was giddy with excitement & couldn't wait to do what I do - paint more cards!  Ezra is one of the nicest, funniest, talented people I know & I am blessed to call him friend.  
I get by with a little help from friends.. I am HIGH with gratitude because of a little help from this friend.  Thank you.

I added 5 new cards to the site today! Look around - the pugnacious pug is my current favourite ​- BTW these little cards look terrific framed too!

For years I've played around with different names.  You'll learn of a few of them in the time to come, but it wasn't until today that I thought (in frustration) to myself:  "You are so much more than cannabis, psilocybin and monkeys in space suits." As I was signing an original card to someone very special (in fountain pen), I thought: "Yes! THAT is what I am!  I am Forever Grateful!

Forever Grateful for all those in my life who make it worth living - humans and our furry and feathered friends.
